Whoop 'n' Wail Theatre Company was founded in 2011 by Ali Kemp and Deborah Klayman to create original drama which addresses issues surrounding incarceration, mental health and social justice.
An innovative emerging theatre company, Whoop 'n' Wail is dedicated to producing quality drama with a sense of humour and a social conscience. They aim to take their work to the widest possible audience and engage directly with those whose exclusion from society they seek to highlight.
In 2011 Whoop 'n' Wail's debut production, eXclusion, toured the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Waterloo East Theatre (London) and South Hill Park Arts Centre (Bracknell) in association with UK charity Women in Prison.

"The fact that it is almost impossible to choose a "winner" is a testament to the success of the drama, owing to strong performances from Ali Kemp, Deborah Klayman and Jennifer Nicholas, a charismatic trio whose dynamic as a collective is powerful enough to tell the story without the aid of gimmicks."
